Premutos

My boyfriend and his roommate have this little ritual that they do. Whenever they meet someone new they sit this person down and make them watch a movie called Premutos.
Now, my boyfriend (Jim) and I have been online buddies for years but hadn't met in person until about 4 months ago which is when we started dating. So, when this happened we went to his house and, with his roommate, watched this movie. Apparently a large amount of alcohol is needed to watch it, which in itself is a bad sign.

This movie is so horrendously horrible (the English dub at least), I just had to share it. So, let's begin!

First off, let it be known that the cover of this DVD has absolutely NOTHING to do with the movie. Why there is an uber angsty goth chick on the cover, I have no idea.

Premutos: Lord of the Living Dead is actually Premutos: Der Gerfallene Engel. It is a German film wirtten, directed, produced and starring by Olaf Ittenbbach. This film is surprisingly very sought after. Why, I really don't know. I can only guess that it is so bad that it is loved. Which is sort of how I feel about it.

The story is about the first fallen angel Premutos.

Wait.... that can't be right.... wasn't... Nevermind, attempting to make since of this film will cause your head to explode.

Anyways.

Throughout time Premutos is summoned many times to wreak havok. During the present time a book is dug up by a man's father, that man being Mathias (played by Olaf). Mathias has always been plagued by horrible visions of what is believed to be all the times when Premutos was summoned. Well, while his father's birthday is going on downstairs he begins reading the book, accidentally releasing Premutos. Actually, I believe he becomes Premutos, but I can't really tell.

So, Premutos is loose and so now it's time for the drunken party guests to fight for their lives against zombies. The fight scenes are pretty good and pretty amusing. Geek fights for the "hottie" of the film and depends her life with a tank.
Yes, a tank. Apparently people in Germany like to keep working tanks in their country home backyards.

This movie is just so weirdly odd that you have to see it for youself. Like many have said, the movie itself is not bad, it's the ear splitting English dub that does it.

But Dellamorte said it best:

"Premutos has it all. Everything from a Dominatrix sister, a gun shooting chainsaw swinging step-dad, to a deep DEEP sex scene that is questionable whether it is real or not; Not to mention a substantially healthy load of nice looking zombies. It also pays homage to classic horror films like Evil Dead, Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Scanners, even the dubbed version has a reference to the action opus First Blood (one of the funniest parts of the film)."
